How Proximity Health collects, uses and protects your personal data and health information.
Addendum
Effective since September 4, 2026 · Supplements the policy above; it does not replace it.
Proximity Health relies on a small number of outside providers. Each receives only what it needs.
OpenAI — the Prox assistant, and consultation reports
Daily — video calls
Africa's Talking — SMS reminders
Resend — email
Paystack — practitioner subscriptions
Google Firebase — hosting and authentication
OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) — address lookup
A remote consultation is recorded only if you explicitly agree. The practitioner asks, you answer, and recording cannot begin before you have agreed. No box is ticked in advance.
You may refuse: the consultation still takes place. While recording, a red banner is visible to both of you.
The recording is transcribed automatically, and a structured report is drafted from it. That report is never released to you automatically: the practitioner reads it, corrects it, and it is their validation — and nothing else — that makes it visible to you. You never see the raw transcript; only the practitioner can read it.
The video is deleted as soon as the practitioner has validated or discarded the report. The transcript is kept with the appointment, and is destroyed if you delete your account.
